If you mix glycol(green antifreeze) and dexcool (orange) together it will turn into jello in your cooling system. This isnt a joke so do yourself a favor and dont mix the two. If you do a flush then thats a different story.

The majority of the Prestone avail. In Auto Parts stores say's it's compatible w/ "Any Color"... If you get the Reg. prestone it'll clump...

I don't believe this is true, our cars were designed to have dexcool. If you do not change coolant in any car it will turn into crap no matter what color you use. If that is the case every car GM has made since the late 90s would have coolant problems. If the green was so good GM wouldn't have spent millions of dollars developing dexcool!

GM swapped to Dexcool for a few reasons. one its a sealing agent. this means if you get a small pin hole in your rad it will fix it. this is why it clogs 80% of heater cores if its not flushed from time to time.

now using the old school Green stuff crystalizes aluminum. it slowly eats away at it.

The difference is the green anti freeze is toxic and it was change to the dex because it is non toxic. Accident scenes roll off into sewer pipe and police dogs would some time lick it and get sick. Either anti freeze works just fine and it is VERY true to NEVER mix the different types.

Thats not funny. Thats sad. Finding humor in a dog or any animal getting sick from toxic stuff is horrible.

Lets all laugh when a child drinks it and gets sick or worse, dies.

I guess I shouldve been more clear, I don't think the dogs dying is funny. I thought it was funny that he thought gm gave a shit about them. They paid out in a lawsuit instead of fixing a gas tank fault that caused many people to die when getting rear ended because it was more cost effective than repairing the problem!
