Yep, I suggested he go with one of those.....A friend of Beth's from MI actually builds them.

I want one bad but I'm too lazy and too cheap to pull apart my M4gery to replace the upper (it's an A2 model) and I hate the cantilever carry-handle mounts.

My other AR is also an A2 and is fitted with a 3-9x scope on a carry handle mount. It works but it's freaking HIGH up. I need a new stock with a raised comb just to get a good cheek weld again.

I bought both my ARs back before A3s were so popular. NOBODY buys A2s anymore.

wish i would'a known u were gonna go with the 512, i could've given u a good deal on mine, i'm lookin to step up to the 557 AR223 with the BDC for longer range shots with my maco maginfier. My 512 maybe has one scratch on it and has only had ONE set of batteries through it
